Faithful Partners: Home and Church Discipling the Next Generation

Faithful Partners is a half-day conference being held March 21st, designed to lay foundations for the partnership between home and church in the discipleship of our children. Topics will include the call to cultivate households committed to the faith, the biblical basis for the partnership between home and church, and the use of teaching tools such as catechisms. Childcare and lunch will be provided, and the conference will conclude with an elder-led question and answer time at the end.

 

 SCHEDULE:

The Call: A Household Committed to the Faith (9a to 9:45a)

Objective: establish the biblical call for parents to make their home a place where our faith is being passed to the next generation.

The Partnership: The Household and Church Working Together (10:00a to 10:45a)

 Objective: establish the biblical basis for the partnership of home and church in passing our faith to the next generation. 

BREAK (10:45a to 11:00a)

The Practice: Using Catechisms to Teach the Faith (11:00a to 11:45a)

Objective: establish the use of catechisms as a tool for passing our faith to the next generation

Elders Q&A (11:45p to 12:15p)

Lunch (12:15p)
